The White Mass with Bishop Rhoades will be on October 18, 2022, at 6:30 pm at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne. All are invited! This is a chance for health care workers and those who support health care workers have a Mass together followed by sharing a meal. The banquet will be at 7:30 pm at St Mary’s Oechtering Hall, which is in St Mary’s main church building. The Guild is happy to announce that there will be a White Mass with Bishop Rhoades this year, followed by a banquet with a speaker. The White Mass will be at 7:00 pm in the Fort Wayne Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated by Bishop Rhoades. The date will be St Luke’s feast day, October 18, 2021. Following Mass there will be a meal at nearby St. Mary’s Oechtering Hall. Jason Shanks, President of OSV Institute for Catholic Innovation, will talk during dinner about his experiences as a patient with severe Covid pneumonia and organ failure and his miraculous recovery.... The Catholic Medical Guild of Fort Wayne is open to anyone in healthcare and has started monthly meetings for fellowship, prayer, and discussions. We are meeting at St Vincent de Paul the third Saturday of each month following the 8:15 Mass which will be approximately 9:00 AM. Most meetings will be in the Spiritual Center Room A. In June we began a short course called “The Purpose and Meaning of Suffering: a Discussion-Based Course for Health Care Professionals”.
