New Formation Meetings: new place, new time, new subject, new year

As the previous course has been completed, it is time to start a new Formation series.  This year we will be working through a brand new study guide approved by Bishop Rhoades and written by Dr. McGovern to complement the booklet written by the Pontifical Council for Health care workers,  Pastoral Care in Health and the New Evangelisation for the Transmission of the Faith.

For 2015 we are going to try a different location that may be easier for some to get to.   Due to the location change, the time will also be slightly different, the second Saturday each month rather than the third Saturday.  There will be no meeting in March.

The details: formation meetings January-October 2015 will be held in the St Vincent de Paul Spiritual Center around 8:45 am following the 8:00 am mass at St Vincent de Paul on second Saturdays.  This is a change from 2014 in both dates and location.

Lesson 1, on January 10,  is on pages 8-22, so please mark your calendars!  The new guide may be found HERE and downloaded.  We will try to have signs out on the St Vincents property before the meeting.  The mass will be in the church, then the meeting will be in a separate building near the school,  in the Spiritual Center.  Both areas are handicap accessible.  This MAP of campus is very useful and we have marked the Spiritual Center for you.

As usual, try to bring a copy of the lesson pages with you, and try to read the few paragraphs of the Pastoral Care in Health text that are quoted in the study guide.  However, previous reading or attending previous meetings are NOT required and you can still follow along easily without any preparation.
